Delusion

The pieces fit together beautifully
The jigsaw looked complete
 Proximity deludes a closeness
It veils the superficial
One and one put together seems two
Contrived beauty
An oasis woven into the desert
That unassuming rivulet in the farthest reaches of the dense forest
It remains untouched
Hidden behind the density of its own shadows
Creating a labyrinth for its seeker
What a shame it couldn't reveal itself to you
In its full effervescence it alluded all too soon
All too sudden
And the rivulet took an infinite tangential turn far away from oneness.
